  • Midwife + The Village House Founder

    Aiyana Davison (she/her) is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner practicing in Southern California. Prior to opening The Village House, she worked in a large hospital-based teaching facility. A passionate professional, some of her most pressing priorities include: shedding light on and aiding to eradicate the inequalities that exist within healthcare, addressing the crisis that Black women (people) face in the U.S., the provision of quality care for all individuals and families, and the preservation of the legacy of Black midwives and birth work. Aiyana has been featured on a wide variety of platforms including ESSENCE, Peanut, Elvie, Ovia Health, and Mama Glow.

  • Project Manager of the Village House Birth Center

    Andrea is the founder of Admin Impact and a skilled Project Manager for the Village House Birth Center, where she combines her advocacy for maternal health and justice with her passion for supporting birth professionals. Through her work, Andrea empowers birthworkers to grow sustainable practices by offering strategic support in administration and business development. At The Village House, she supports development projects for the expansion of The Village House inclusive of the incoming birth center. Andrea’s dedication and vision play a pivotal role in empowering birth professionals to succeed and in enriching meaningful care experiences for families.

    Dani helped create and edit just about everything found on our site. What makes Village House so special is that every person on our team is passionate about community-centered birth care and advocacy. As a Labor + Delivery nurse herself, Dani understands the complexities of birthing in our current healthcare system and has worked on this website tirelessly in hopes that it is easily accessible to all birthing persons and their families.
